Michael Razo is dedicated to providing exceptional service to clients in a solution-focused and expeditious manner in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. Michael’s practice focuses on all aspects of family law, having significant experience litigating and negotiating on behalf of clients in dissolution and paternity actions, child custody and visitation matters, domestic violence proceedings, spousal and child support issues, and division of property. Michael was recently named to the 2019 Southern California Rising Stars list, an honor that is determined by Super Lawyers and is limited to no more than 2.5% of the attorneys within California.
Michael was born and raised in the Inland Empire. After graduating from the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Michael returned to the area to attend the University of La Verne College of Law, where he was awarded an academic scholarship to attend law school. During law school, Michael externed with the Disability Rights Legal Center (DRLC) where he participated in negotiating Individualized Education Plans with school districts to ensure children received the special education services they need.
Upon graduation with the degree of Juris Doctor and admission to the State Bar of California, Michael worked at litigation firms with offices in Ontario and Riverside where he practiced business law, real estate, personal injury and criminal defense. Michael utilizes this valuable litigation experience in exclusively practicing family law, having joined William and Pamela Bratton in January of 2016. Michael believes the firm’s expertise combined with a compassion for its clients allows the attorneys to provide a distinctly unique service to clients who are facing a difficult and emotionally challenging process.
Michael is active in the Inland Empire legal community as a member of the Riverside County Bar Association, San Bernardino County Bar Association, East West Family Law Council, and serves on the Legislative Committee for the Inland Empire for the Family Law Section of the California Lawyers Association. Michael has presented, and continues to present, continuing legal education to several bar associations and legal organizations on the topics of professional responsibility and competence.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, watching sports, attending concerts and collecting memorabilia.
